Join us for an incredible day at Epcot filled with surprises and thrills!
After a well-deserved lie-in, we decided to make our way to Epcot with one goal in mind – securing a boarding group for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Watch as we embark on this epic adventure!
Sleeping in until 10 am, we treated ourselves to a leisurely morning. Arriving at Epcot around midday via Lyft from Surfside, we kicked off our day with a special Joffrey’s drink for Festival of the Arts. The excitement peaked as we successfully snagged a boarding group for Guardians at exactly 1 pm! Our return time was set for 6:10 pm, giving us plenty of time to enjoy all that Epcot has to offer.
Our Epcot exploration included food booth delights, a ride on Frozen Ever After (Sharon loved it as you can imagine!), a visit to the seas with Nemo, and a mesmerizing stop at the aquarium to marvel at the sharks. We checked out the Journey of Water attraction, Sharon rode Spaceship Earth for the first time, and enjoyed a stroll around World Showcase. A photo with Walt the Dreamer statue, a delightful visit to Mexico’s Grand Fiesta Tour, and an evening photopass session added to the magic.
Savouring our last bites at Epcot, we indulged in delicious treats from Deco Delights, completing a walk of colour. Our guardians’ group got pushed to 7:15 pm, giving us more time to enjoy the park’s night time ambiance.
Then came the highlight – Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! Strapped into row 1, right at the front, we soared through space, twisting and turning to the beat of Conga. It left us screaming, singing, and dancing – hands down the best ride ever!
Wrapping up the day with a visit to grab a piece of art and a bus ride back to Disney Springs, we enjoyed a final Lyft back to Surfside. A kids’ pizza from Surfside Cafe marked the end of a truly unforgettable day!
