🌅 Rise and shine at 7 am as we embark on a day of excitement, hotel swapping, and Universal Studios thrills! Join us as we share the details of our morning adventure, starting with a change of plans for breakfast at Denny’s, leading us back to the trusty IHOP for a delicious feast.
🥞 Shaz indulged in the 2,2,2 – 2 eggs, 2 bacon & 2 pancakes, while Sam went for the split decision – 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes, and a slice of French toast. Bottomless coffee fuelled our morning, with the bill totalling $33.40 (£27.47). After breakfast, we checked out of Super 8 and headed to Surfside for a hotel swap. Our room at Surfside exceeded expectations, complete with 2 comfortable beds, a spacious shower, and ample storage.
🎢 Next, we ventured into Universal Studios for an unforgettable day. Despite challenges obtaining a Das pass, we explored Diagon Alley, and Sam experienced the mind-blowing Escape from Gringotts ride – a rollercoaster meets simulator sensation. The park was buzzing with activity, and we explored Villain Con, the new Minions’ ride, and the charming ET ride, a nostalgic trip back to our childhoods.
🍜 We took a break for a delightful Panda Express dinner at City Walk before returning to Surfside. With our resort mugs in hand, allowing unlimited hot and cold beverages for our 10-day stay, we settled into our comfortable room. Although we opted for an early night instead of Disney Springs due to fatigue and uncertain weather, our day was filled with adventure and new experiences.
